About

I’m a nature photographer, writer and naturalist based in northern California. While I’ve been involved with photography for over 30 years, interpreting wildlife behavior has been my primary focus for the last 10 years.

Through my observations as a participant in multiple wildlife monitoring projects and as a wildlife docent at a national park, I aim to tell stories that illustrate the pressures, consequences and emotions that accompany the choices of an individual or a group of animals.

My hope is that my photography strengthens a viewer’s connection to the natural world by presenting relatable moments from nature, while posing questions that can pique the interests of scientists and nature lovers alike.
